US maker of liquid color and additives for plastics, headquartered at 5001 Birney Highway, Aston, Pennsylvania. The business traces back to 1898 in Brooklyn, New York, as a supplier of dyes and industrial chemicals, first supplied liquid color to the plastics industry in 1966 and launched as Riverdale Global in 2013, with later expansions in North Carolina, Ohio and Wisconsin. Its colours are blended from pre-milled single pigment dispersions (SPDs: one pigment dispersed and milled in a liquid carrier, hundreds of pigments, several carrier systems including non-petroleum ones), made at one site and blended to customer matches at local satellite locations. It also offers liquid additives, pearlescent, fluorescent and metallic effect colours, and a sealed gravimetric dosing system and drum refill service (with Maguire Products).
