About
Czech chemical plant in Přerov, founded in 1894 and part of the AGROFERT holding. Its main product is PRETIOX titanium dioxide (grades for paints, paper, plastics, construction, food, cosmetics and pharmaceuticals, plus UV and photoactive grades); it also makes FEPREN synthetic iron oxide pigments (red, black, brown, green, yellow, orange; powder and granules, certified to EN 12878 for concrete) from ferrous sulfate, a by-product of its TiO2 process. Other products: MONOSAL ferrous sulfate, PREGIPS gypsum and sulfuric acid. About four fifths of sales are exported.
