Indian phthalocyanine pigment maker (corporate office: 404 Naman Centre, BKC, Bandra East, Mumbai; plant and registered address: MIDC Lote Parshuram, Taluka Khed, District Ratnagiri, Maharashtra), with more than three decades in the business, 550+ employees and customers in 40+ countries. Backward-integrated value chain: it makes its own CPC crude (about 8,000 t/yr), cuprous chloride, synergists/additives and captive power, then activated crude CPC blue (about 2,400 t/yr) and finished pigments: alpha blue 15:0 (KPL Blue 7000, about 3,600 t/yr), alpha blue 15:1 (KPL Blue 7001, about 1,800 t/yr), beta blue 15:3 (KPL Blue 7003, about 3,600 t/yr), beta blue 15:4 (KPL Blue 7004, about 3,000 t/yr) and Pigment Green 7 (KP Green 9000, about 1,200 t/yr). Grades are offered for inks (including offset), coatings, plastics and masterbatch, textiles and universal use. By-products are turned into zinc phosphate, zinc oxide and zinc carbonate anticorrosives and DAP, MAP and zinc sulphate fertilisers.
