German maker of colour masterbatches, additive masterbatches and functional plastic compounds, founded in 1991 by the four Grafe brothers as GRAFE Color Batch GmbH (Paderborn, then Jena) and based in Blankenhain, Thuringia since 1995. The family-run group has about 405 employees, supplies more than 3,000 customers in over 60 countries and has its own companies in Poland (GRAFE Polska, Lubliniec, since 2006) and Italy (GRAFE Italia, Quinto Vicentino, since 2009), plus the subsidiary HD Kunststoffe in Blankenhain. Products include colour batches, effect masterbatches (gloss and metallic, including a PP film composite for automotive interiors), packaging colours, Cool Black, luminescence and UV-protection masterbatches, antistatic and other additive batches, compounds and the BIOCOLEN and CYCOLEN ranges. Industries served: automotive, medical technology, man-made fibres, consumer goods, packaging, agriculture, transport and logistics. Its Design Center creates over 10,000 individual colours a year.
