Cromex S/A

Brazilian maker of colour, white and black masterbatches and plastic additives, founded in 1975 as Cromex Resinas Sintéticas, which describes itself as the leader of the Brazilian colour and additive masterbatch market and exports to about 60 countries. It has two plants: Simões Filho (Bahia, Aratu industrial centre; 108,000 t/year, which it calls the largest masterbatch plant in South America) for black, white, high-volume colour masterbatch and additives, and São Paulo (24,000 t/year) for colour masterbatch and special products. Its colour range has over 10,000 catalogued colours, all free of heavy metals, with pearlescent, metallic, glitter, fluorescent and thermochromic effects and a colour development lab. Other lines: rC-Black (black masterbatch with recovered carbon black), masterbatches in 100% post-consumer resin and additives for recycling. States ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
