Family-owned German inorganic pigment maker in Bruchsal, founded in 1896 as a paint and colour wholesaler; chemical pigment production on its present site began in the 1920s and was rebuilt after the company was returned to its founding families in 1949. A new chemical production plant started in 2006 and a blending plant for homogeneous batches of up to 9 m³ was added in 2015. Its BRUFASOL brand is known for chrome yellow and molybdate red pigments; BRUFASOL AL is a range of bismuth vanadate yellows (lead-free alternative to chrome yellow, high opacity and weather fastness); BRUFABLEND are dry pigment blends to RAL or customer shades, including lead-free alternatives to lead chromates; BRUFATEC Orange 29070 and Red 29100 are highly resistant pigments close in shade to cadmium orange and red.
